Bottled. A hazy light golden beer witht a rim of off-white head. The aroma has notes of citrus fruits, malt, and straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of lemons, malt, yeast, and brettanomyces, leading to a dry, yeasty, and brett’y finish.

clear yellow, no head. slightly bretty, sourish notes, apple like notes. flavor is pretty bretty, dry fruits, pretty dry for a saison, lacks finesse.

Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAR 15, 2011
Handbottle 37,5 cl. Courtesy of Doodler. Pours a clear yellow with hardly any head. Nose is spicy yeasty and Bretty, rather tart actually. Medium body, only a slight sparkle, fruit and yeast again with an amazing Bretty edge and quite some tart horse blanket nose. Ends dry and tart. Not so much a Saison as a Sour, but lovely as such. 150311

On tap poured a clear amber with a lasting ivory head. Aromas of lemon, straw, barnyard funk, spice, light white grapes and light oak. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry lightly tart finish. Flavors of lemon, white grapes, barnyard, straw and light oak with a crisp dry lingering lightly tart funky finish.
