Banana and bubblegum aroma, golden, cloudy appearance with white foam head. Banana flavor with a hint of clove. I’m not usually a fan of wheat beers, but I would drink this again.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: NOV 23, 2010 On tap at the brewery’s taproom on 11/19/10. The chalkboard claimed this beer has a 4.3% ABV with 12 IBU’s. Absolutely hazy pale pale yellow pour, with a small yet persistent white head. Smells of banana flavored bubblegum, sweet wheat and bread dough. Maybe some orange rind as well. Taste is heavy on the wheat with orange citrus backing up. Some light banana tones bring up the rear, and ends sweetly. A tasty brew!

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Tap at The Rackhouse - a seriously over sweet and extremely clove heavy hefe, both in the nose and the flavor - some overripe banana is pretty heavy in the nose as well - flavor is heavy on sugars and clove, with a wee bit of yeast and herbs (sage) - kind of hard to drink.

Well I’m on my 3rd growler of this stuff, as if thats not sayin enough. Here we go, as the description says huge banana on the nose, classic hefe color, thinner mouthfeel and a perfect carbonation, at least for my tastes. For the style it close to perfect IMO, when your not looking for a hoegarrden beer that’s heavy on cloves, this is awesome. Try it if you can!
