acrdz (4386), Boulder, Colorado, USA Jul 8, 2008 Dark at Falling Rock. Dark purple cola colored body. Very low carbonation, feels almost flat, but it’s thick enough and smooth enough that it works. Some astringent coarseness noticed throughout, with a dominant flavor of black cherries and wood turning more towards sweet pipe tobacco, sugared dark fruit and toffee and toast. Nice but somewhat simple. drjay44 (164), Colorado, USA Jul 5, 2008 Really disappointing. Nothing really came together. Much better than industrial beers. Perhaps they have changed their brewing since 2007?? BeerandBlues2 (2514), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Jan 8, 2007 Draught at brewery. Pours clear dark amber with an average frothy off-white head, somewhat lasting, good lacing. Aroma is average malt (bread, cookie, molasses), light hops (grass), average yeast (dough) with notes of clove, brown sugar and nutmeg. Light bodied, oily texture, soft carbonation and an astringent finish. Average duration, light sweetness, heavy acidity and bitterness highlighted by fusel alcohols. hopdog (4654), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 14, 2006 On tap at the Dry Dock Brewery Tasting Room. Poured a deeper amber color with a small sized off white head. Aromas and tastes of dark fruits (raisins, plums and come cherries), chocolate, and brown sugar. Malty.
