COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Doug Hyndman’s latest and greatest hoppy war hammer of an IPA. Five types of hops, five pounds in the dry hop - there’s a theme here. Chinook, CTZ, Centennial, Galena and Amarillo join forces, devastating your palate with their bitter deliciousness. Pungent. Clean. Unforgiving. Wonderful!

Notes from Denver trip: From HJM Liquors, corner of 32nd and Umatilla. Lots of sediment in a amberish pour, tan head, little bit of lace. Nose is citrus. Bitter. Middle is medium malt body. Finish is medium bitter. Seemed unfinished.

The description led me to believe that I was in for a massive blast of hops, but was pretty much on the medium side of hoppiness (hopposity?). That said, this is a good IPA. The mouthfeel is luxurious and the finish is complex and very long lasting.

Pretty good. It’s mild and sweet. Hoppy aroma. Medium body and the sugar is really coming through. Wet finish.

Grand Junction, Co. - College Liquors - 12 oz can. Slightly murky medium orange pour, little to no head. Aroma is non-descript, slight floral hint if I have to pin it down. Flavor has a slight hoppy bent to it, some muted citrus, a touch of spearmint, some peachy fruitiness. Slightly dull, Mouthfeel is thick enough. Tastes a bit old.

Hazy, tea colored, webby bone-colored head. Bad can. Resinous, dusty, somewhat catty aroma. A little astringent, very lightly sweet, stiff bittering. Nothing really wrong with this, except that it just doesn’t come together. Thanks to PorterPounder.

Had this weeks ago, on draft at the brewery so I dont remember the details. However this is the most Hoppy (IBU) beer that I have had to date, I I really enjoyed. The burp afterwards made me think I just ate a bad of hops, but thats what its suppose to do, right. Really good beer.

Pours a clear deep golden color with a clingy, white, cottony head. Astringent mouthfeel. Grapefruity, floral nose. Grapefruit and cherry flavors.

Appearance: pours with a small dark beige head with some density to it, the beer is a hazy amber color Aroma: grass, faint, pine, Taste: strong malty backbone, some grain, light bitter finish, Palate: heavier mouthfeel, average carbonation, bitter aftertaste Overall: drinks easier than most ipa's with this much malt backbone, not as hop forward as I expect an ipa to be, not bad though and drinks easy ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours hazy amber with minimal head. Aroma is citrusy with some sweet caramel malt. Flavor is well balanced hops and malts with a good amount of sweet and bitter. A good overall even keeled beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
