Doug Hyndmanís latest and greatest hoppy war hammer of an IPA. Five types of hops, five pounds in the dry hop - thereís a theme here. Chinook, CTZ, Centennial, Galena and Amarillo join forces, devastating your palate with their bitter deliciousness. Pungent. Clean. Unforgiving. Wonderful!

One of the best ipas I've had. Cool little strip mall in the middle of nowhere, Colorado making some great beer. This beer is thick, rich, hoppy, and smooth. A must-try. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Had this weeks ago, on draft at the brewery so I dont remember the details. However this is the most Hoppy (IBU) beer that I have had to date, I I really enjoyed. The burp afterwards made me think I just ate a bad of hops, but thats what its suppose to do, right. Really good beer.

On tap at Hops and Pies poured a clear golden amber with a lasting amber head. Aromas of biscuit, skunk bud, orange, tropical fruit and a hint of pine. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of biscuit, grapefruit, orange zest and light tropical fruit with a smooth dry lingering bitter grapefruit finish.

12oz can Pours with a medium white head. Lacing lasts through most of the beer. Strong hop/floral aroma. Medium hop bite, near perfect carbination. Medium bitter swallow and a solid aftertaste.

This has become a favorite. Bought their Booty Box sampler and this has stayed a staple in my fridge. Nice grassy color. Citrus and pine aromas. Flavor is full and well rounded with citrus finish.

UPDATED: MAR 4, 2014 Started as a 3 oz taster, progressed to a pint, then ended up a growler. I canít believe this is rated a 78 on the site. You people bitch about IPAs not being hoppy enough then you score a hop monster like this low. This is a crystal-clear, straight up hop bomb. Everything from grapefruit, pine, mint, just whole-hearted real hop character saturates this beer. Malts donít get in the way. This is one of the most blatant overusage of hops Iíve tasted in Colorado and it is glorious. Very clean, very unbalanced, but sure to satisfy a hophead.
Okay, I just wanted to note that my initial tastings of this were from draft. I have since purchased a few six packs of cans, and I have to say that itís not nearly as good. I canít put my finger on it, but the hop character isnít as clearly defined and thereís a hugely bitter finish without the full depth I get when I have this from tap. I have never before experienced such a consistent discrepancy between tap and can. I still drink Modus Hoperandi and Hop Notch all the time, but Hop Abomination just isnít the same. So I retract my calling out of all you who rated this poorly, but I am leaving my initial score to reflect the draft servings.

Really enjoyed this. Great citrus and floral hop aroma. Nice light copper color with some foam. Average weight and feel. Flavors were harsh and strong bitterness with a honey sweetness underneath.

Draft at the Rackhouse in Denver, CO. Pours a cloudy golden orange color with lighter tangerine hues and a one finger white head that quickly settles into a lasting ring. Sporadic lace left behind. Sweet citrus hop aroma thatís slightly earthy and resinous, bursting with tropical and citrus fruit. Hints of papaya, mango, pineapple, orange and lots of grapefruit. Subtle pale grainy malt with hints of graham cracker and biscuit. Medium bodied with a good balance of dry bitterness and sweet citrus/tropical fruit notes. Subtle pine earthiness with lots of mango, tangerine, orange peel and grapefruit. Grainy pale malt backbone provides good balance without overpowering the hops. Very quaffable.

Tight tan head quickly falls. Cloudy amber in colour. Resin and citrus on the nose - a little floral in the end notes. Not detecting any malt in the nose. Round bittering with lifting carbonation. Earthy finish, nice lingering bite. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
