COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Doug Hyndman’s latest and greatest hoppy war hammer of an IPA. Five types of hops, five pounds in the dry hop - there’s a theme here. Chinook, CTZ, Centennial, Galena and Amarillo join forces, devastating your palate with their bitter deliciousness. Pungent. Clean. Unforgiving. Wonderful!

On tap at Hops and Pies poured a clear golden amber with a lasting amber head. Aromas of biscuit, skunk bud, orange, tropical fruit and a hint of pine. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of biscuit, grapefruit, orange zest and light tropical fruit with a smooth dry lingering bitter grapefruit finish.

Tap. Pours clear copper/amber with average, creamy white head; short retention and minimal lacing. Aroma is floral and dank hops, pears, citrus fruit, caramel and bread malt, and light pine. Flavor is balanced sweet malt and hops (light bitterness) with supporting citrus fruit esters; dry finish. Medium body, carbonation, and warmth.

Tap @ Brewery. Slightly hazy dark gold under a lush laceful foamy head. Aroma is strong of pine resin and grapefruit with a subtle toffee sweetness under it. Also smells just a bit "green". Taste is pretty resiny but not as bitter as I expected. Pretty floral/resinous/piny/citrusy taste with a bit of herbal bitterness, with just enough of a pale grain malty caramel tone to hold it up. Not bitter enough to scare your girlfriend away, but has a very hoppy taste. Like drinking non-bitter hop flowers.

Cascade dry-hopped firkin for firkin friday, pour was very hazy orange-yellow with thin white head, aroma brought big fruity and citrusy hops, hints of caramel and toffee and slight dank pine notes. Taste is a nice oily citrus, pine and caramel, hints of toffee and more citrus, finishing fairly bitter and dry. Really nicely done, the temp and firkin nature of it made the hop aromas really jump.

Tap. Pours clear gold with a large, frothy white head, long retention with excellent lacing. Aroma is fragrant hops (citrus, floral, pine, resin), medium caramel and straw malt, fruity esters and light alcohol notes. Flavor is malt backbone with heavy hops, moderate bitterness, fruity esters, and a dry finish. Medium body, warmth, and carbonation.

Draft at the Rackhouse in Denver, CO. Pours a cloudy golden orange color with lighter tangerine hues and a one finger white head that quickly settles into a lasting ring. Sporadic lace left behind. Sweet citrus hop aroma that’s slightly earthy and resinous, bursting with tropical and citrus fruit. Hints of papaya, mango, pineapple, orange and lots of grapefruit. Subtle pale grainy malt with hints of graham cracker and biscuit. Medium bodied with a good balance of dry bitterness and sweet citrus/tropical fruit notes. Subtle pine earthiness with lots of mango, tangerine, orange peel and grapefruit. Grainy pale malt backbone provides good balance without overpowering the hops. Very quaffable.

Tap at Dry Dock - hazy gold - this beer is hoppy as fuck! - the board at the brewery even joked that it was "250,000 IBUs" - extremely assertive grapefruit pith, pine needle and pine wood nose - same in the flavor - medium sweet pale malts add some depth to the citrus character - tongue-curling bitterness, but no abrasive acidity or any of the other drawbacks that come from such extreme hoppiness - chewy body - moderate yeastiness - freakin’ tasty.
