On tap at the Dry Dock Brewery Tasting Room. Listed as their Paragon Apricot Blonde. Poured a medium and cloudy golden color with a small sized white head. Aromas and tastes of guess what, apricots. The apricots where there but not really overpowering (which is a good thing for me as Apricots is one of my least favorite fruits for beers - that being said, this was not that bad).

draft. cloudy soft orange-tinted wheat body with a fine-bubbled white head. fresh, pulpy, unsweetened and raw apricot fruit nose (overall fairly mild and quiet) with equally mild touches of wheat, straw, pale malt and lightly phenolic yeast (white pepper, dishsoap). medium-light body, thinning across the middle and back. flabby support with low acid and low bitterness and medium-low sweetness. fairly dull and boring mouthfeel and flavor that sadly doesn’t live up to the surprisingly enjoyable fruit nose.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Ernest (5185) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JUL 6, 2011
Bottle.
Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly diminishing.
Body is hazy dark yellow.
Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), with a strong note of apricot/peach
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter.
Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
Very one-dimensionally fruit-forward. Nothing unpleasant about it, but there’s just not much going on, it’s like apricot soda pop.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Dogbrick (4837) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JUL 25, 2011
Sample at the brewpub. The beer is a hazy orange color with a medium white head that fizzes away quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of apricots and wheat. Light body with an apricot character backed up by a bit of sweet malt. The finish is fruity and short. Overall the beer is straightforward and slightly above average.
