Really enjoyed this crisp, biscuty, and sweet apricot beer. Sessionable and awesome for the summer months.

Aroma - bold apricot; Appearance - golden, very hazy, fluffy head, laces well; Taste - tart apricot front, sweetness creeps into the back, mild apricot finish; Palate - slightly crisp, good body; Overall - best apricot brew I’ve tasted and a top fruit ale in general.

Pours almost a copper color, or cloudy golden, and very frothy. Nose of...surprise! Apricots. I’m not usually a huge fan of fruit beer, but have to say this is pretty good. Easy to drink, crisp and good flavor. The Apricot is not as overwhelming as the nose indicates and is very enjoyable. I could easily drink more than one :)

Bottle with Carla. Pours orange with minimal off-white foam. Smells sweet with hints of apricots and peaches. Tastes sweet and lightly tart with lots of apricot and a light balanced barley.

On tap at Rackhouse in Denver. Pours an opaque tawny orange. No head, minimal carbonation. The nose is all apricot. Very sweet, like apricot jam. Maybe some other fermentation esters, or maybe it’s just other aspects of the apricot. The taste follows the nose and is dominated by apricot. Not a lot else going on - some good hop bitterness to provide balance is about it. The nose is this beer’s biggest attribute. A good fruit beer if that’s what you’re in the mood for.

UPDATED: AUG 29, 2009 Accorinding to the brewery, properly it is called "Dry Dock Paragon Apricot Blonde". Had on tap at the brewery. Pour is a beautiful cloudy light blond apricot color. Seems appropriate! Has a complex apricotty aroma. Has a medium-light body. The flavor is a nice fruit complexity from the real apricots balanced with bitter and just the right amount of dryness. Slight hints of chalk. Slightly floral. I’m not a big fruit beer fan, but this is nice stuff! Flavor is great. Rated 3.5 in Aug 2006 -- Re-rate Aug 2009: Light orangey beer, beautiful apricot nose Just a beautiful beer. Has only gotten better, now a 3.7.

UPDATED: JUL 7, 2011 Tap @ brewpub. Quite hazy orange apparance with a white colored head that disappers to nothing pretty quickly. Sweet and fairly rich apricot nose that is very done and appetizing. Hazy light malts in the body with the apricots taking center stage in a strong but not overdone manner. Good execution.

bomber. Pours a hazy orange gold with nice off white head. Aroma is pure apricot, sweet and fresh, reminding me of freshly cut, sticky apricots. Medium bodied, not as light as expected. Flavor is a burst of apricot from start to finish, with malty notes of biscuit, hay, pound cake. Overall I was very pleasantly surprised by this one - I am not normally one for fruit beers but this was nicely done. The sweetness of the apricot is not cloying or offensive, and although there is alot of apricot in this beer it still maintains its integrity as a beer and is not soda like or anything. If you like apricots you will like this beer.

Pour is hazy yellow on tap at the brewery, aroma has notes of apricot, orange, some biscuit. Taste is a bit sweeter than necessary but very apricot forward and a bit fizzy. Some nice biscuit in there as well.
