On tap at the 2007 GABF: Pours a clear golden bronze with a thin ring of off-white head. Aroma of sweet caramel and toffee with a hint of light fruity esters. Body starts with nice sticky malty sweetness and good light fruity complexity with some warming alcohol toward the finish. Could use a little aging.

GABF 2007: Poured a hazy brown-amber color. Sweet and fruity aroma with notes of apples. The flavor was of old fruit and aged malt. Some piney notes. Moderate bitterness. Good warming sensation. Was told this was 11% ABV.

Draft at The Falling Rock in Denver. Poured a clear dark orange-brown color. Head was thin and off white. Aroma was fruity, but subdued overall, and reminded me of a combination of apple and pear. Syrupy sweet on the tongue. Fruity and boozy, like pear and mixed fruit liqueur. Not much complexity.

Draught at Falling Rock. Beer is clear, medium red-brown with a small, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing but lasting head.
First aromatic impression is boozy, jammy fruit. Otherwise breaks down to being malty with light notes of toasted grain, biscuit, caramel, moderately weighty, slightly buttery toasted bread crust; Hoppy with light floral notes, traces of orange zest, lemon zest; Yeasty with a light note of basement; Moderate miscellaneous note of boozy black stone fruit, spicy wood and alcohol.
The flavor is moderately/heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter with a long, moderately sweet, trace bitter, lightly acidic finish.
The body is medium/full, the texture is velvety and the carbonation is soft.
Fair, not striking.
