2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Sampled at 2012 Firkin Rendezvous @ Bristol Brewing. Listed as "Chocolate Raspberry Porter", but I listed it here because I doubt the recipe was drastically different. Murky dirty looking brown with a light tan head. Has an aroma like raspberry chocolate, with a touch of peanut butter and or split peas. Kinda weird. Flavor is much more raspberry, thankfully, with a touch of sweet chocolate and some tart earthiness. Just not as dark and sweet as I hoped.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
murky dark brown with some particles & a good sized brown head. raspberry jumped out in the nose.some chocolate was there too, but the tart raspberry was the focus here. flavor- well, like a chocolate covered raspberry. i’m a raspberry fan so i enjoyed this. sweet chocolate & tart raspberry went well at first. got a touch medicinal about 1/3 of the way through it, but that seemed to fade. finished with cocoa & candy raspberry. not a bad way to spend some time on a friday.
