Hazy dark blackish brown, with a thin light tan ring of head. Nose is big and dark with sweet raisin and plums with a wee touch of sour yeast. Flavor is big and rich with a huge dark stone fruit essence of dates, raisins and plums. There’s a bit of boozy wood behind it, like whiskey or something, with a roasted note of caramel and grape. Loads of dark Belgian fruit sweetness. Sweet and boozy but not cloying. Amazing.

On tap @ Rackhouse. Deep mahogany pour with an off-white head. Nose of overripe dark fruit, plum, and grape juice. Sweet apple cider, some mild balsamic notes, and vanilla. Flavor is balsamic vinegar, sweet plum, and grape juice. Light sourness and quite sweet and sugary.
