COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We use over two pounds of real vanilla beans in each seven barrel batch to infuse this brown porter with amazing complexity and a smooth rich flavor. There is nothing subtle about this beer.

22oz. bomber from Tipsy’s in Littleton, CO. Pours dark brown with a moderate head, even at high altitude. Aroma is intoxicating, a mix of familiar smells including hot chocolate (marshmallows and allow) and vanilla cola. Once it hits the lips, the real vanilla beans take center stage before fading into milk chocolate and finishing with a light charred malt bitterness. This was my first Dry Dock brew and I’ll surely be back for more!

12 ounce can. Vanilla in taste. Thin body. Some of the notes don’t feel so natural. Ok overall.

12 oz can thanks to Kaylenn. Appearance: finger tan head, black color, opaque, ok lacing. Aroma: chocolate, vanilla, nutty, earthy. Palate: medium to full body, creamy texture, soft creamy carbonation, finish is slightly dry. Taste: sweet chocolate with plenty of vanilla and earthy malt sweetness, into light bitterness of coffee on the back end. Very nice, good beer, not overly sweet!

Can @ Home. Sweet vanilla flavor. Mouth is sweet, artificial vanilla, cocoa and a sweet finish. As it warms the vanilla becomes a bit more overwhelming and a real heavy sweetness comes forward.

I agree with other comments that this beer lacks body. However, there is no mistaking the vanilla in this beer. Creamy and dense foam atop the nearly black brew. Vanilla and bourbon notes attack the palate and you can just feel the chocolate as the sip ends. Finish has some phenolic ticks at the end.

I've had this several times, but I'm basing my rating on my most recent experience. Bomber poured into two snifters. Vanilla attacks your nose. I was filled with anticipation hoping that it would be a dark, silky, power bomb of a porter supplemented by sweet vanilla, but I was a little disappointed. Not by a lack of vanilla. That is definitely there. Instead I was disappointed by the light nature of the beer. If this thing were beefed up a bit, it would be outstanding. That's just me though. It's very drinkable the way it is.
