3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 arminjewell (4160) - Saudi Auroria, Colorado, USA - NOV 8, 2011Pour is dark black with off white almost tan head, aroma has big notes of vanilla, touch of roast, chocolate and toffee in there. Taste is big sweet vanilla, hints of bittering coffee and roast, but more sweet toffee and vanilla round this out. I admit, I’m a sucker for vanilla, so this one hit the spot.

Bottle thanks to Doodler, thanks! Pours a dark bay with a grayish yellow brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a strong vanilla note with a bit of baking roasted malts. Flavor starts with vanilla but has a good amount of roasted malts in the finish and just a touch of bitter chocolate.

Bomber split with TheRon. Pours opaque brown with a nice tan head. Aroma of vanilla, chocolate, and DMS. Smells like corn on the cob with some ingredients thrown in. Watery corn and vanilla flavor. A borderline drain pour.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 StefanSD (1797) - Lakeside, California, USA - FEB 16, 2013
650 ml bottle courtesy of Denverdiv. Thanks. Pours a nearly opaque dark brown color with a small beige head that soon recedes to a fine film. The aroma is sweetened cocoa, vanilla and a bit of dust. The taste is more of the same, lots of sugary cocoa laced with vanilla and a trace of earthy/dusty hops. The palate was just a bit thinner than I prefer and the carbonation was soft. Finishes medium in duration and sweet with a pasty after-mouthfeel. Overall: Not bad, but not great either. The sweetness was too much for me and had a saccharine feel. That quibble aside its flavorful and easy drinking.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 Beaver (1062) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - FEB 6, 2013
22 oz bottle. Pours dark brown with a small creamy light tan head that quickly goes to a thin film and leaves a little lacing.
The aroma is sweet perfumey vanilla, some wood and some roasted chocolate malts. Smells a bit like lodgepole pines.
The flavor is lots of sweet vanilla with some roasted malts. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied and a bit watery.
Overall, a bit thin and too much sweet vanilla for me. Better than Breck’s though.
