Yes, our very first brew. Pre-prohibition Cream Ale and Steam Beer hybrid. It’s a session ale brewed with barley, maize, and wheat.

Enjoyed on tap at DryHop Brewers in Chicago, IL on a nice Saturday afternoon before going to a wedding. Appearance is light pale yellow with not much head. Aroma of light yeast, and malt, not too much going on. Taste is decent, easy drinking, can have multiples for sure. Overall not bad but not memorable.

On tap at the brewpub. A session ale and you can’t pass up a cream ale tick, amirite? Pours a bright golden with a medium head. Aroma of mil sweetness, some cereal malt, and light fruitiness. Somewhat grainy and fruity notes are apparent, as well as some grass notes. Flavor is mildly sweet with some spice notes. Mostly cereal and straw notes. Light bodied, above average carbonation. Finishes with mild earth and spice.

Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours a clear light yellow with a white head that dissipates completely. Aroma has a good amount of cookie and sweet bread with a bit of grain underlying. Flavor has lots of the same cookie and bread notes with a mellow light grain note.

[Tap] Clear and golden in color. Straw and mild corn flake aroma. Light cereal grain and weaker hop flavors. Thin mouthfeel. OK, but subpar compared to their other offerings. Tasting notes from 1/2014.

A golden ale with a very thin white head. In aroma, sweet biscuit malt with grassy German hops, light solvent notes, not bad. In mouth, a lager like ale with chalky malt, sweet fruity notes, light bodied, OK. On tap at brewery

6oz pour at the brewpub. A very cloudy dull gold. Strong carbonation is visible. Has a small head that leaves no lacing. Aroma is indistinct hops with a light bitter touch, a bit of citrus, some spikey esters, and a bit of husky grain. Flavor is low bitterness, light citric, grain, and blaise happiness. Just a dull beer. But what can one expect from a steam beer and cream ale hybrid.

Flight at the brew pub. Color is a hazy straw with no meaningful head. Slight yeasty aroma. Flavor is basic domestic beer malt flavor with body. Overall disappointing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft at brewery. The pour is very very light. The aroma is some citrus. The taste is a standard pilsner, not much flavor. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: JAN 20, 2014 Came with friends to this brewery even though I?m not a fan of "hoppy beer". Got the flight hoping there?d be at least one beer to my tastes. This was my favorite, it was smoother than the others and left a nice taste. Provided a nice combination of flavors good for summer drinking.
