Growler from DryHop. Pour is a cloudy golden in color. Thin white head diminishes to a small ring with soft lacing. Aroma is fruity hops, wheat, and some light toast. Taste is fairly bitter with a huge amount of Galaxy hops. Big on wheat with strong tropical fruit notes, with a hint of grapefruit, some lemon peel & and some yeast. Not your typical wheat for sure. Very nice.

Shark meets hipster is a cloudy honey gold pour which matches it’s wheat IPA category. Big fruity galaxy hop bouquet which is somewhat fruit punch like. It has a really nice smooth wheat body. The taste is solid wheat with citrusy spicy hops. An American wheat all the way.

Love this super hoppy ipa wheat beer. Pours orange in color. Smells hoppy and has a nice bitter finish. Had at dryhop. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft at the brewpub. Pours a clear, amber color with a white head and some lacing. Aroma is hoppy, some grapefruit, some pine. Medium on the palate with creamy carbonation. Flavor is sweet, malty, bready, a little toasty, a little nutty, some bitter pine, some grass, with a clean bitter finish.

Tap: Hazy golden hue with fading head, good lace. Good amount of dank and tropical fruits with a husky wheat note. A lot of Belgian characters as well. Solid brew.

Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a hazy light gold with a white head that lasts throughout the beer and laces. Aroma has lots of grapefruit and resin with a hint of onion and a hint of sweetness. Flavor has a nice bitter grapefruit and passion fruit with some onion and a bit of earthy pine.

Large sample at Beer Under Glass event in Chicago. Interesting nose and initial taste...a wheat IPA. More IPA than wheat but pretty sure it will qualify as a wheat beer for the better half. Very tasty.

[Tap] Orange in color with a little bit of haze to it. Nice citrus hop aroma with grapefruit being the main component. Taste is similar with a thicker than expected mouthfeel. A really nice and balanced beer. Tasting notes from 1/2014.

DryHop’s pairing beer at the Chicagoland Brewpub & Microbrewery Shootout, dispensed to my fest glass with a hazed, orangey gold hue, a light layer of soft white froth, and modest waves & spots of lacing. The nose was expressive esters as grapefruit, pineapple, tropical fruit, with a slight hint of mintiness,... or someone was chewing gum next to me! Light bodied with appropriate carbonation, attention getting, rind-like hop bitterness with some lingering quality, just a touch of malt sweetness that also lingered lightly on the tongue, and some finishing dryness. I really liked this one, with or without the Bubba & Babe Slider, which was their excellent food pairing.

An orange amber ipa with a thin lacing light mocha head. In aroma, nice piney and citrusy floral hops, grapefruit, treacle, very nice and pungent. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt with orange pulp, light Barley candy, smooth floral hops with light citrus notes, well done. On tap at brewery.
