2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 BakerStMuse (19) - USA - JUL 9, 2009Bottle. A decent Belgian ale in my experience. Not much odor. Dry and flat with a light spicy finish. Nothing great but drinkable and interesting to try.

500 ml bottle. Pours bright, cloudy, reddish amber in colour, with big frothy off white head. Lots of fine carbonation. Not a tonne of aroma here, taste is spicy, slightly sweet malt. Not much hop here either. Pretty sessionable.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 HogTownHarry (5639) - Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, CANADA - FEB 17, 2011
February 19, 2010 tasting with blankboy, garthicus, gregclow, jerc & mabel. 500ml bottle shared by garthicus. Cloudy deep amber pour with a large lasting fluffy white head (3+). There’s that "Québec yeast" aroma again - sharp and dry, with simple sweet caramel in the background. The taste is pungently spicy, quite sweet and yeasty, no booziness at all, quite mild indeed. Had a syrupy mouthfeel, weak carbonation, and a sweet and ultimately dry and spicy finish. Not bad at all.

500 mL bottle from Depanneur Peluso in Montreal, served in a snifter. Pours hazy deep orange-amber with a small tan head. The head fades slowly to a bare cover and leaves no lace. The nose has hoppy citrus notes, notes of caramel, raisins, flowers and grass. There is also a faint hint of dust. The flavour is balanced between moderately sweet caramel malts and moderately bitter resinous hops. There is a hint of alcohol and spice towards the end. The finish is moderate in length and quite bitter. On the palate, it is medium in body with a dry texture and average carbonation. On the whole, this is a rather simple ale brewed in the Belgian style. It is well balanced but fairly simple. Nothing to write home about. 2010-12-11
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 DerWeg (1393) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 10, 2010
Pale and slightly crisp carbonation. Smells lightly sweet, some spice, fruit. Taste smooth sweet fruit, crisp light hops and some spiciness. Maybe some tropical fruits and banana, hey why the hell was this bottle worth $5.50?

Pours dark red-brown with a thin white head and no lacing. sweet, moist, yeasty aroma. medium body and medium flavor. Tastes of caramel, over ripe fruit and maybe cinnamon. earthy, bitter-sweet finish. nice casual belgian ale. Very drinkable and accessible.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 SlovakSniper (2115) - Candiac, Quebec, CANADA - APR 10, 2010
Corps moyen. En finale, goût étonnament aigre-doux. Peut-être faut-il en boire une autre?
3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 garthicus (2336) - Dublin, IRELAND - APR 3, 2010
Appearance: Red/orange with a small white head. Aroma: Lots of grass, malt, yeast and a slight amount of lemon. Flavour: Quite malty, toasty, a little grassy but with a good deal of bitterness. Simple and nice.
