My Bottom Line:
Oatmeal cookies, raisins and roasted malts express themselves thoroughly in this svelte Imperial Stout before alcohol burn and more roastiness seal each sip.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slice of foam lingers atop the brown-edged blackness.
-This is not one of those sweet/heavy Imperial Stouts. You get lots of actual malt flavors which don’t rely on residual sugars to get noticed, which is nice.
-Effervescence is a tad too prominent for the lean body. But this makes this brew quite drinkable for its size.
-All flavors are harmonious and elegant. This is not too intense, not too shy either.
-If there were Frontenac malts used in this, I cannot perceive them. Then again, there are lots of specialty malts, so that might explain why I don’t taste the Frontenac contribution. In any case, this is a very pleasant malt display.
-Light caramel undertones are tasted, but since residual sugars are low...

Bottle.
