75cl clay bottle, thanks Tderoeck for the share. Brune, col fin beige.

14/IV/2012 - 75cl bottle @ home - BB: 27/II/12 (2012-362) Thanks to Mattie for getting me the bottle!

Clear dark brown beer, lots of sediment floating around under a small off-white head, unstable, little adhesive. Aroma: dried fruits, chocolate, port, caramel and mocha. Amazing smell! MF: good carbon, medium body. Taste: dried fruits, chocolate, berries, some speculoos spices, mocha, port notes, caramel, bitter hops. Aftertaste: more chocolate, mocha, bitter hops and liquorish. In all, not nearly as bad as I had anticipated!

Bottle 30 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a clear reddish brown with a tiny off-white head. Sweet roasted malt and pumpernickel. Solid body, roasted malt, dried fruit and pumpernickel. Warming alcohol finish. Closer to a Dutch Bock really. 200210

Swing top bottle. Labeled as Dubbel Kloat, 8.5% ABV. Brewed for Huttenkloas B.V. of Hengelo, Netherlands by Schlossbrauerei zu Sandersdorf. Pours a really dark crimson color, showing mahogany at first glance. A small, foamy, beige head leaves behind wet, soapy spots on the glass. Aromas include dried prunes, stale raisins, and boozy, slightly astringent fruit liquor. Strange, and kind of watery. Flavors are equally unimpressive, showing more dry, dark fruits, primarily prunes, along with an odd, watered down, boozy earthiness that I just can’t pinpoint. Medium-light in body and semi-dry, the palate seems a little papery and dry, and shows overly alcoholic and boozy. This is one strange, strange brew, and fortunately one I doubt I’ll ever come across again.
