malty aroma with a touch of hop spicyness, rich spicy malt flavor, slight bitter aftertaste

In the bottle at the 2004 Crescent Moon Vintage Beer Tasting. Yuck! I’m not sure what this was supposed to be, but after 10-15 years in the bottle, it ain’t that now! Pretty bad at this point. This one did not age well. Weak and watery by my estimation and I suspect that was about the flavor when it was fresh.

I was surprised. This has a malt taste almost like a weak bock. Is it really an ale? Other than that, though, it's a bit too American-grainy for my taste.

Hazy Red. Grainy nose with decent malt profile

In its day, this was probably not even the best beer in Dubuque, but it was pretty decent. It’s a cloudy red color and seems to have lots of Iowa corn in it. A decent beer with some malt kick.
