3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from LCBO. Clear copper with a thin off-white head with average retention. Aroma is nice biscuity english malt, a hint of toasted bread and caramel and herbal hops. Flavor is nice english malt, biscuits, toasted malt, herbal and earthy hops with a moderately bitter finish. Well balanced. Medium body, with very fine bubbles and slightly creamy mouthfeel. Very decent ESB.

This one to me is a drink and forget beer. Scores a little bit under par. Bottle looks classy though.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
500ml bottle. Poured a deep coppery amber with effectively no head. I was surprised to find out this was supposed to be a bitter as the bitterness was rather mild. Good maltiness with a certain je ne sais quoi I couldn’t quite put my finger on. Overall it was a decent beer but nothing memorable.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
500ml bottle from Waitrose. Clear brown colour, no head. Malty aroma, bit thin in mouth, not great carbonation. Some maltyness throughout. Touch of dryness. But its overall a touch dull and the mouthfeel leaves a bit to be desired.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
I bought this thinking a smaller English brewery might make a better pint than the poor stuff from their larger breweries. I was wrong. Typical weak, tasteless, watery English beer. Not unpleasant but merely drinkable and bland.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
(Bottle from LCBO.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Waitrose. Pours copper with a creamy light beige head. Moderate ripe fruit aroma - sort of plum/cherry mix. Flavor is fruity/malty sweet at the beginning, and it does not develop a great deal of bitter. But there’s enough bitter to balance eventually. It seemed to start rather heavy, but it didn’t turn out that way. Sort of a different beer, but it drinks right well.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
New beer found at the LCBO in a pint size bottle. Poured into pint glass sort of reddish amber color, got a decent head from it. Not much floral notes, hint of some spice. This is an acceptable drinkable beer.
