A deliciously robust, rich blend of hops and malt, including an English barley first used in 1905 called Plumage Archer. This traditional ale is lovingly brewed using barley from selected organic farms, including Duchy Home Farm at Highgrove.

Bottle from Waitrose. Orange-red with no head. Has a balanced sweetness in its aroma and taste - neither too much or too little, and a touch crisp.

500ml bottle from Waitrose. Red colour with a thin off white head. Aroma is banana. Flavour has more fruit and a sweetness, that leads to a bitter finish.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber body under a small fizzy beige head. The nose is slightly sweet and toasty malt with a light brown sugar note and a bit of leafy hops. The flavor is much the same, a little sweet and toasty maltiness with just a hint of huskiness. Just a light bitterness on the finish. Light bodied with a bit if cling on the finish and minimal soft carbonation. Ok beer I suppose, but probably something that might be better on cask.

Pours a cloudy copper with a small dull white head that settles to a thin ring and has decent legs but leaves little to no lace. Aroma is bready, fruity esters, toffee, and rasins. Flavour is grassy, watery, mildly bitter, faint caramel, and bread crusts.

Ar: Hay, moss - some pear, light caramel. Ap: Amber and clear - medium off-white head with big bubbles, moderate retention, leaves a fair amount of foam. T: Red apple and pear - some moss, hay, and light toasted malt - medium bitterness, fairly clean - light crackers. P: Medium-ligh body with high carbonation - finish is dry. O: Decent beer - easy to drink, but nothing really standout.

Soft mouth feel. A touch of fruit on the tongue. Pours reddish with slight head. Hint of biscuit and floral on the nose. A slight bite from the hops. Typical English style.

500ml bottle from the LCBO. Pours a crystal clear deep copper with minimal tan head that is gone quickly. Nose is grain and caramel and light vanilla but all very muted. Taste starts very sweet with toffee and fruit leading to a some mild bitterness. Mouth is quite thin with very soft carbonation and a lingering light bitter finish. Just OK.

500 ml bottle. Pour a deep copper with nice active carbonation and very little head. Light, sweet caramel aroma. Very faint. NIce sweet flavour with just the right amount of bitterness and a thin texture.
