from bottle. pours a light, amber color with a very thin white head and lots of carbonation. slight aroma of prunes. minimal hop bitterness. taste of nuts and some roasted toffee. body is extremely light. not what I expected at all. very drinkable beer, but not that impressive as an example of the style.

Mild and a bit more watery than anticipated. A tad too malty for my taste.

I had this on Christmas day to go with my organic lunch. Fairly bland with not much going for it other than it being organic. Some fruit, some caramel & some hops. I didn’t finish it, not that it was awful, I just wanted something more on this special day. I have a growing number of average beers from Wychwood/Marstons at the back of my cupboard waiting to be drunk when I’ve run out of Fuller’s etc.

500mL bottle to flute Bread, caramel, and apple. Hazy amber with a thin off white creamy head. Taste is acidic up front ending with a back tongue bitterness. It's medium bodied and slick. Nice bitter red.

500 ml. bottle. Pours an orange reddish beatiful colour, small head that dissapears soon. Smell of orange and caramel, some earthy character. Thin and light on the palate. Taste is the same as the smell: caramel, orange. Earthy and dry finish.

500ml bottle - rated this before I realised the brewer. Noted "like a weaker, thinner version of Hobgoblin". Loses it in the body for me.
