2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20I had this on Christmas day to go with my organic lunch. Fairly bland with not much going for it other than it being organic. Some fruit, some caramel & some hops. I didn’t finish it, not that it was awful, I just wanted something more on this special day. I have a growing number of average beers from Wychwood/Marstons at the back of my cupboard waiting to be drunk when I’ve run out of Fuller’s etc.

The wife ordered this one with the groceries. Needs slopping from glass to glass - way too fizzy if you can’t be bothered. No appreciable aroma, sweet and rather thin. Not in the least ruby coloured, actually being just on the pale side for a bitter ale. Finish is short and only slightly bitter and all in all, a very disappointing beer.

Deep amber with a decent, off-white head. Sweet, bready malts and caramel, with some slightly yeasty berry fruits and moderately bitter finish. Ok.

Bottled. Amber coloured. Unclear. Dense light beige head. Aroma. Sweetness, caramel, fruits. Flavour: Fruits, caramel, vague spice. Thin bodied. Ends fruity and caramelly.

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and straw, leading to a dry finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

50 cl bottle. Pours cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma is toasted malty and light breadish. Bitter, toasted malty and light oxidised. Dry and bitter to herbal finish. Dry and herbal far finish.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours an almost clear amber with a dense off-white head leaving a little lacework. Caramellish, nutty aroma. Medium body, soft mouthfeel, typical British yeast character and a subdued bitterness. 270413

Hazed golden amber with a thin off white head.
Nose is dark fruit, malt, sugars, light toffee.
Taste comprises dark fruits, malts, toffee, brown sugar.
Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, dryish finish with light bitterness.
So so drinkable gubbins but nothing to return too!

Bottle. Ta Coleen for the pour. The pour’s medium amber with a small head. The aroma’s marzipan, almond, red berry and caramel apples. The taste is more sweet autumnal fruits. Chewy caramel graham cracker body. Lightly oxidized. Hints of ye olde cardboard. Medium body, smooth. Overall, fine.
