3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 asheft (2072) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - APR 28, 2012
[bottle from LCBO]
Sourish citrusy fermentation ester aroma with some brown sugar and apples. Clear bronze under a lasting white island and ring. Flavour is a fairly sour and slightly metallic biscuity malt balanced by significant bitterness and with notes of lemon and caramel apple. Metallic feel and bitterness sort of combine in a bad way. Medium body, moderate carbonation, lasting moderate bitterness.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 frybeer (40) - Ontario, CANADA - APR 27, 2012
A deliciously robust, rich blend of hops and malt, including an English barley first used in 1905 called Plumage Archer. This traditional ale is lovingly brewed using barley from selected organic farms, including Duchy Home Farm at Highgrove.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 travisd (4) - - FEB 18, 2012 does not count
Received for Pagan Winter Solstice celebrations. Head foams up white and very quickly subsides. This beer is is a regular amber in color and clear as it’s filtered. Very mild aroma with not much standing out. Flavor is watery as I guess is kind of expected from filtered beer, a little bitter (not in a good way,) and generally very plain. It’s a light body, thin texture with mild carbonation. Overall, this is not terrible but pretty boring. I give it an extra point for using organic ingredients. We shouldn’t even have that distinction...
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 Martin243 (243) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - JAN 30, 2012
500ml bottle, cellar cool. More mid-brown than ruby. Slightly hazy with a thin white head. abit of ripe red fruit in the aroma, and some plummy jammy flavour. Not bad, but not my type of beer really. I think it’s O.K. but personally, I think this style needs a bit more warming alcohol.

Copper colour. Flavour has sweet red fruits. Quite a thin texture. Sweet jam-like aftertaste.
