Bottle: filtered.
A deliciously robust, rich blend of hops and malt, including an English barley first used in 1905 called Plumage Archer. This traditional ale is lovingly brewed using barley from selected organic farms, including Duchy Home Farm at Highgrove.

Clear medium yellow amber colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain - caramel, moldy - musty, toffee, damp stain - fusty. Flavour is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20111203]

500ml bottle from Waitrose. Clear brown colour, no head. Malty aroma, bit thin in mouth, not great carbonation. Some maltyness throughout. Touch of dryness. But its overall a touch dull and the mouthfeel leaves a bit to be desired.
