Frothy head that dies,but good cover,rapid carbonation,amber colour though more red than brown.Aroma,malt,hop,nut,butter notes.Flavour fruit,caramel,not a notable taste in my opinion,boring beer.Has some citrus notes,dry sweet finish.

Nov 1, 2008 Tasted 30/10/2008, 500ml bottle from Regionals, while tending to the pilot batch of Yeastie Boys ’Kid Chocolate’. Pours a hazy amber with a reddish hue. Sweet plummy stewed (oxidised) malt on the nose with a little floral ester and herbal/lemon hops. Same in the mouth, with a good malt depth and a nice balancing bitterness and full hop flavour. Suspect this would be a bloody lovely drop closer to home but it’s dropped off to a nice wee quaffer this far away...

Oct 18, 2008 Clear pale copper colour with fast fading beige head. Grassy malt nose. Dry alcohol taste with lingering bitter warming alcohol finish.

Oct 12, 2008 Amber colour, tiny white head. Aroma has bitter hops. Flavour is more of caramel malts and bread. Clean palate. Light bitter.

Sep 29, 2008 Very good organic beer. Roasted malt with very herbal flavor mixed with bitter hoppy taste. Traces of fruit (orange), caramel aroma and hints of nutmeg. Bittery herbal aftertaste. Amber-copper color. Medium carbonated.

Aug 27, 2008 The was $4.45 for the bottle at the Northcoast Coop in Arcata, CA.. IT poured a hazy amber to brown color with not much head and lacing. Aroma of malts and ripe fruti. Medium mouthfeel. Flavor shows some hops with a little bitterness, which also shows in the finish. This is quite drinkable but not in the least remarkable.
