Holy (701) - GERMANY - FEB 4, 2012
Bottle courtesy of Koelschtrinker at Wasana’s Bier Tasting last month. An easy belgian ale - nothing extreme to set it with the masters, but all the required ideas are there.

Koelschtrinker (7060) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - JAN 31, 2012
Herber, stark karbonisierter Beginn. Hefig, süffig, wenig aromatisch. Geringe Süße. Später dann intensiver mit geringen Gewürznoten, trocken, leichte Whiskeynoten im Abgang. OK. 11/10/11/11/12/11

Grima (1573) - Saarburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - JAN 31, 2012
Bottle at Wasana’s Winter Beer Tasting 2012! Thanks Koelschtrinker for sharing!
Bottle N° 732 / 1500! The beer in the glass is a dark amber with pearly, soapy head. The smell is very restrained. Slightly bready and yeasty-smoky-sweet. Starts yeasty malty-sweet, caramel-like. The middle part is subtly smoky, with some vanilla and toffee. The further course gets more sweet. Goes into a sweet and bready, yeasty finish with a hints of smoke and vanilla. Quite ok, but definitely not worth its price!

Bierkrug (1666) - Idar-Oberstein (In East Africa), Rhineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - JAN 29, 2012
750 ml bottle at Wasana’s Winter Beer Tasting 2012, Idar-Oberstein, Germany. With much thanks to Kolschtrinker. Pours a cloudly brown tea color with a yellow like head. Aroma is weak champin like. Taste was weak vanilla fruit. Palate was also weak but mellow. Weak stuff.
