COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

A fresher and lighter taste than in Franziskaner and other "standard" weizens. This doesn’t mean that Duckstein would be watery, though, it is great. The excellent choice for a refreshing wheatbeer.

A clear orange/amber colored beer with no head. The taste is fruity with some nutes. The taste is bitter with sweets of fruits. It’s a little watery. The aftertaste is sweet with a little bitter.

Bottle 50cl. Pours a reddish cloudy brew. Godd combination of sourish yeast and woody dryness. Nice but expensive beer!

A: Pours a light red-hued brilliant color into the glass. Little white head that fades away as quick as it formed. Carbonation releasing the while time I drank it - about 10 minutes. Looked like Champagne almost. Not much smell straight away. Little malty. I think the constant release of CO2 is ruining any smells I think I smell. Nothing unpleasant however. Maltiness, roastiness. Slight bitterness, almost astringent. Not bad, but I’ve had better. Too much carbonation. Second beer today with that problem, which is weird for German beers. The carbonation just makes it feel a lot less viscous than it might be, although I doubt that. I guess I am just not a fan of overcarbonation as it makes it taste like mineral water, or at least feel like it. Could put away a few of these in an evening. Although I won’t be since I luckily only picked up one. I won’t seek this out, but I won’t say no if it’s the only thing around.

[bottle] Cardboardy malt aroma, with a slight, wheat sourness. Hazy orange-brown with a quickly dropping white fizz on top. Flavour is overwhelming cardboard, with a faint wheat sourness and some pleasant malt. Moderate bitterness and no hops to speak of. Medium body, moderate to low carbonation, clean finish.
