Pours a beautiful golden-amber with a thin, coarse head. Woody aroma, consistent with the beech aging guaranteed by the seal I had to break before opening. Very pleasant body - malty sweetness balanced by a generous amount of hops, with woody, earthy undertones. Little to no aftertaste, but what is there is wet wood & hops. Body is unremarkable, with slightly high carbonation. I have tasted beers like this which have not succeeded in tasting as balanced and as pleasant, so I am impressed, overall. Nothing I would really buy again, though.

500 mL bottle from LCBO.

App.: medium copper, frothy off-white head. Aroma: a little woody and earthy, smells tart, a touch of licorice or molasses, a bit of roasted malt. Palate: medium body, some lively, effervescent carbonation. Flav.: a bit of toffee, woody and earthy, a little roasted malt, molasses (barely). Toffee to finish. Dry.

Unremarkable.

Duckstein Copper-Gold Premium.....and then I ended up having to register it under this beer. Bottle. Amber colout with a medium head. Aroma of malts and hops. Flavour is caramellic, malty, nice hops, bit nutty.

Nice wee head of medium consistency. It is the amber colour I say. Smells pretty god and beerlike, just as God intended. Taste is all malty and has some coffee taste going for it... but that might just be my taste buds. Some parts of this beer make it taste almost like a stout. Grainy and hoppy at the end of the beer. Rather good beer, which I had before, but alas forgot all about it.
