2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Stew41 (1412) - Woodend, AUSTRALIA - DEC 24, 2006
(BB March 2007)
Medium amber in colour with an orange twinge. Doesn’t get the blood racing. Pale lager-like nose and perhaps just the faintest herbal tinge. Palate shows a little more interest and some sweet malts coming through are well matched with a hoppy / bitter finish. Again another simple German beer well suited to summer drinking.

UPDATED: MAR 18, 2007 Bottle. Amber/copper pour with an inpressive head which lasted. Very fruity brew with a zesty edge. Also a nice blend of hickory. Extremely refreshing and delicious. I would recommend this one.

Overall, this wasn’t really to my tastes. very nice copper color with creamy head. good malt flavours and strong hoppiness. However, hops tasted a bit flat and somewhat metallic in the finish.

2.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 raymondwave (931) - FINLAND - NOV 23, 2006
UPDATED: NOV 25, 2006 Quite nice, I was actually thinking of drinking bitter rather than an alt. Quite caramelly and some roast. I don’t care for the bottle design, but what’s inside counts.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 HopheadHans (789) - Bay Area, California, USA - NOV 3, 2006
tap. Pours with a red color and a nice brown head. Aromas are not very pronounced, a bit of hops and grapefruit perhaps. Flavors are a combination of fruit and predominantly malts with a hoppy finish. perhaps the body is a bit too thin.
