Világosabb árnyalatú, áttetsző vörösesbarna szín, kevés piszkosfehér, tömör hab. Illata karamellás, malátás és főtt zöldséges. Íze édeskés: karamellás, malátás és enyhén fűszeres. Közepesen testes és szénsavas, jól csúszik. Nem éppen egy különösebb élmény, de azért nem rossz. Ha már Altbier, innék már egyszer egy igazi düsseldorfit...

Bottle at home. Clear copper pour, thin quickly diminishing off-white head. Aroma of citrus, crispy German hops, some sour grains and slightly oxidized. Flavor is quite bitter, somewhat sour, watery, grainy and dusty. Some beechwood in the finish, but quite harsh. Quite lively carbonation. Thin body.

Amber with a medium, creamy head. Light roasted malt, fruit and some light notes of smoke. Drinkable but nothing exciting.

Clear dark copper colored with a medium sized off-white head. Caramel aroma. Sweet and caramel flavor. Fine balanced beer.

Reddish amber colour, Nice white head but disappearing fast. Very little aroma. Some caramel, little malt. No detectable wood tones, even though it should be matured on beech wood according to the bottle. Flavour is better detectable, though still not very pronounced. Caramel and malt sweetness, slight smoke background. Only light bitterness. Rather thin body. Finish sweet malty and slightly smoky. And it seems to leave a sticky feel around the lips.

500ml bottle. Great copper/gold colour. Aroma and taste are roasty malts with some smoke on the aftertaste. Medium body.

Third of a litre serving. It came in the matching glass. 3 finger head which cleared quickly. This beer didn’t smell that much different to a German Pils. It had a great redish copper colour, appearance was the best thing about this beer. Didn’t taste anything too complex, the finish was slightly bitter and smokey. Nice smooth beer. Decent but too expensive for what it is.
