Bottle from mein-biershop. Poured copper color with a white lasting white head. Aroma is caramel malt and toffee. Flavor similar, quite weak flavor actually. More bread malt than caramel. Easy to drink, but not very interesting.

500ml bottle brought directly from Germany about a month before this review. Copper coloured body, with a beige foamy head. Loads of bubbles are visible at first. The head sticks around for some time, but afterwards it disappears almost completely. The nose is full of toasted malts, caramel, apples, and a bit of hops. Smells like a good altbier. The aroma is strong enough to be considered The taste starts out with a slight herbal hop bite, followed by a pretty solid fruity profile (raisins, figs, and apples), complimented by caramel notes and some mild sweetness. The taste then finishes with very pronounced toasty maltness. Bready and slightly nutty. Quite bitter in the finish. VERY carbonated at first and pretty smooth and relatively flat afterwards. Medium-bodied, though it may seem even thicker. Quite Dry. No trace of alcohol. The drinkability is pretty high, even though this beer may seem a little hefty to some people. Goes down smoothly and can get very enjoyable. Overall, this is a solid brew, but I enjoyed it much more on tap.

Very nice copper body, decent head with a brownish-white colour. Aroma of grass and pine. Taste is a nice mix of sour wood and malt, juniper needles, bread. Dry finish, and a very good, very unique flavour.

Easy beer to drink - malts and caramel, well balanced. Good lacing with moderate bubbles. Enjoyable.

bottle. Poured clear dark copper with a thick off white head. The aroma of tart hops and a little caramel. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel. Sweet and tart apple notes, light caramel malt. Finishes clean and refreshing. Not a complex beer but not bad.

Bottle. Pours dark orange color with a frothy white head. Aroma is of caramel, grains and some hoppy notes, a quite weak aroma actually. Flavor is of grassy and herbal hops, grains, cereal, malt, cardboard and caramel. But unfortunately the flavors seem rather muted. The body is light with a dry mouthfeel. Overall this one is ok, unfortunatley this is the only Altbier i get. I would love to try some better ones.
