2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 OleR (3510) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAR 22, 2010
Vom Faß in enigen Restaurant in Berlin. Small, grey-shaded blond head. Body is bright, dark amber. Fairly dry, lightly toasted malt aroma, supported by a scent of both grassy and metallic hops. Weak, semi-dry, ashy, lightly toasted malt flavor, with tones of caramel and cocoa. Medium to light body. Very clean on the palate. Dry malty finish. Does not stand out, yet a decent one.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 rosenbergh (3145) - Helsinki, FINLAND - FEB 6, 2010
500 ml bottle. From Lübeck, Germany.
Clear amber colour with small creamy white head.
Grassy hops, sweetish malt and metal in aroma.
Grassy hops, wood, mild smoke and vegetables in flavour.
Smooth. I’m not quite convinced if this is worth the price (it’s more expensive than other Altbiers in Germany).

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Gr0ve (1756) - Oslo, NORWAY - DEC 23, 2009
500 ml bottle. Light copper coloured and crystal clear. Tall fluffy white head that clings to the glass. Crisp floral saaz aroma. Dry and slightly metallic. Clean malty flavours. Body is rather dry and light. Nutty and hoppy dry flavours. A little too metallic and dry in my opinion. Boring in the long run.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 crowderm (315) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - DEC 5, 2009
Clear reddish pour, quickly fading head. Aroma of copper, apple juice and caramel. Flavor is mildly bitter. Herbal, metallic, flat malty finish. The woody notes from the barrel aging serve to soften everything and tie it all together, but aren’t really that prominent. Relatively thin mouthfeel, little carbonation. Pretty ok brew.
