(Rating #492)

Pours a clear amber color, topped with a decent tan colored head. Mild roasty aroma, caramel notes in there too. Taste is sweet, slightly grassy with notes of caramel. Moderate bitterness in the finish. Not bad. Easily drinkable.

Olisi sopinut joulukinkun kaveriksi.

A gift from Germany. Nice amber color with a whitish head, not lasting long. Malty taste, some hops. Medium body and not so bitter finish.

Clear amber. Airy offwhite head. Strong aroma, fruity malt and hops. Malty flavour, hoppy bitterness and long metallic finish. Reminds me of nose bleed...

500ml bottle (shared by FatPhil, thanks). Dark copper color. Tiny size head, disappears. Faint metallic hops, caramel, honey, bready notes in aroma. Caramel, papery, faint hops in taste. Medium bitterness.

500ml bottle (Koht Birthday Auction, Tallinn)
Like the bottle, classy. Pours a bold coppery red - says doped with caramel to me - brief head. Some bitter papery hops. Caramel noticeable in taste, but not dominant. Some bitter, walnut-paper dry, hops. Uninspiring palate, like most force carbonated sugary brews. Finish at least has a nice nutty bitterness, which gets more and more bitter over time. However, deep down it’s caramelly and a bit dull.

Aroma of smoke, plum, caramel. Amber body, lasting beige head. Slightly bitter taste, with some tartness in the finish. Too weak on the palate for my taste. Overall an alright beer.

Aroma: roasted malts, dark bread, roasted caramel. Appearance: clear amber color, nice white head. Taste: medium bitterness (herbs, heather), roasted dark malts, pumpernickel, flower notes and intensive iron taste. Palate: medium body and medium carbonation, roasted finish. Overall: Iron notes destroy everything, it could be a nice altbier.
