COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Get ready to cheat fate with a foreboding potion of wheat and barley malt temptation. Pure and unfiltered, the first taste forewarns the unsuspecting of spicy clove and smooth banana lurking around the corner.

Bottle bought online. Not my favourite of the Duclaw range but the flavours are complex and the body is good

Serving: 12 oz. bottle from State Line Liquors. It pours a deep gold color with just a hint of haze and a very small, stark white head. The nose has notes of honey and florals. Light and perfumey. The flavor is a little sweet up front with some old banana peel, stale clove, and Fuji apple notes coming on strong. Pretty odd for a hefe. Light to medium body with average carbonation leading to a slight sweet finish. Not my favorite for the style.

Not much to say here. Very light in color, very light in flavor. Pretty cut and dry. Its not bad, its just not that good.

Beer pours a yellow merky color with no head at all, the taste of the beer is very week for this style. I can taste some banana, and spice , the palte is just that not there at all for me.

Sitting and drinking with my brother in law a bubbly left this beer here over the summer so it’s 5 or 6 months old.Pours with almost no head and yellow to orange in color.Very thin and a little boring.Aromas of wheat and a touch of citrus.I get the banana flavor but not the clove.Over all not one of the best of its style.

Yellow orange with a thin white head. Aroma is light and wheaty. Taste is the same, with a slight gingery hint, and some residual sweetness. $2/12oz

12oz bottle as a trade extra. Hazy golden-yellow-orange in color with a small white head that leaves a thick foam ring after settling. The aroma is somewhat typical for the style with banana, clove, and a little lemon zest. The flavor is pretty typical with average sweetness. Banana, clove, spice, and citrus. Nice tingly carbonation with a light feel that adds to the drinkability. You know, it’s tough for this style to wow me these days like it did when I was a BMC guy in college. This one is well-done but does not exactly separate itself from the peloton. A nice summer beer nonetheless.

12oz bottle. Poured a hazy deep golden color with a bright white two inch head. Light aroma of bananas, citrus and a bit of floral hops. Tastes of banana, mild sweet grains, and floral hops that finishes with a mild dry spicey clove kick. Mouthfeel is very light and refreshing, with crisp carbonation.

From a bottle poured a golden color with a small amount of head. Light spicy malty flavor with a quick finish.

THOUGHTS: Very nice American version of a hefeweizen. A little more intense than the German types, but it had the same types of flavors unlike many American interpretations of the style. TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a hazy, light to medium brownish orange with an average to large, fluffy, off-white head that nearly fully diminished and left only fair lacing. The aroma was light candy and wheat; hints of burnt caramel; moderate to heavy clove, cotton candy, banana and bubble gum from the yeast; crazy tropical fruits, orangey citrus, peaches and a lot of stuff that is just hard to explain. The flavor was moderately sweet, lightly acidic and slightly sour; while the finish was moderate to heavily acidic, lightly sweet and sour with a little bit longer than average duration. Overall the flavor was a bit watered down, but there was wheat, candy, banana, other tropical fruit, tons of yeast, a little caramel a little clove, and orange. The light to medium body was sort of creamy, but also watery with soft carbonation and a dry and lightly astringent finish.
