Pours a clear rust orange. A faint sweet malt and cinnamon aroma. A sweet malt taste with spices, cinnamon and pumpkin spice. Lingering spice aftertaste.

Way to spiced to be enjoyable. Has a really nasty aftertaste. I could drink it but with so many better pumpkin beers why would i.

12 oz bottle served in a snifter. 5.7% ABV listed on label. Clear copper body with a good head. Start as a lightly spiced amber lager but cinnamon and nutmeg build to a spicy finish. Still not over spiced as are so many pumpkin beers. Medium body and carbonation.

Bottle from Chevy Chase Supermarket. Nice amber body with big head. Nose is spicy, cinnamon. Taste is also spicy and malty. Okay.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber body with a small fizzy beige head. The nose is rather heavy on the cinnamon and nutmeg, aloge with a fairly sweet Munich maltiness. The flavor is pretty well dominates completely by the spice, save for a slight sweetness on the finish. Lots of cinnamon and nutmeg, perhaps a little clove. Medium bodied with fizzy carbonation and some slight clinginess on the back end. Meh, not so thrilled with this one, but a single bottle is doable.

Tap mad mex. When I saw dunkel, was hoping for just that. This is different fer sure. Pillowy rocky head. Brownish beer. Metallic aroma. Some metal carries over to the taste. Pretty strong for a beer called dunkel. Almost medicinal. Yes, spices override anything dunkel in here.

I poured it from the bottle into a pint glass. It pours a nice red and amber color with a nice white head and lacing. The aroma is pumpkin pie with the usual spice and biscuit for the style. The taste is light pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, and biscuit. It is pretty smooth. This was a good pumpkin beer.

Poured from a bottle. Beautiful appearance, clear dark golden, slight head. Spiced aroma like cinnamon, not a real pumpkin taste but delicious.

Pours a clear amber that turns a lovely garnet in intense light. Normal head volume and retention, outstanding lacing. Nice light nose of biscuit, caramel and hints of cinnamon and nutmeg. Medium body with an almost creamy texture. Outstanding carbonation with a nice effervescent middle and a prickly finish. If the flavor profile were a bit more intense, it would be outstanding. Balanced to perfection, the complexity is allowed to shine. Pumpkin makes a subtle appearance in the base, while light caramel and biscuit form the true backbone. Hops and bitterness are hints rather than main components. Spices float over the base and become most noticeable from the middle on but never dominate. The finish is a slow fade of the base with spice overtones.

A decent pumpkin beer, with vanilla and apple notes on top of the usual nutmeg, cinnamon, vegetable and caramel. Pours a cloudy brown with very little head. The aroma is sweet and malty but mild, and the standard spices come through at the end. Nothing special but not bad.
