12 oz draft served in a pint glass. Pour is rusty, tarnished metal with almost no head or lacing. Nose is cinnamon and nutmeg on top of a dopplebock. Taste is right on par with a wet, candy caramel finish. This one is all malt and I really enjoyed it; this brew is definitely worthy of a sixtle!

Enjoyed a pint at the Bel Air location. Very similar to the commercial description but the spicy finish is clearly lacking. Maybe it was the food I was enjoying with the pint at the time, however, there was very minimal spice/bite, if it can even be considered that. Slight nut taste in the middle and clear nutmeg on the finish. It’s OK.

Generously spiced... and not like most other autumn beers that you can hardly separate from their year-round counterparts. Nutmeg, cinnamon, and cloves were what I tasted from it. I liked it.

Not to bad, I really like spiced beers so I knew going in that I would like this one, though not the best I’ve had, still decent.

Surprise surprise I like another octoberfest beer. I like how just about all oktoberfest beers have similar non offensive starts, neutral smells a solid appearance and an amazing aftertaste. I walked in expecting pumpkins and am disappointed that this has no extra halloween spirit. That said, upon further analysis it was not advertised with pumpkins so I cannot in good conscious deduct for this oversight.

On tap in Baltimore, poured a light ruby color with a slight head, with mild lacing. Nice sweet aroma and really good fruity malt flavor, with a hint of spice. Really enjoyed this one.

Draft at Fell’s Point. The taste of pumpkin really comes through here. The spices are well-done, suited to the fall season, and not over the top. A great brew.

Draft @ Bel Air location. Had a nice dark red color, smelled very earthy, lots of spices and pumpkin. Taste was also very earthy. Great taste, very nice surprise with this one!

This is a good oktoberfest beer. Its actually a Munich Dunkel, the first of this kind I have ever had. Since this is my first I don’t really have much to compare it to, but as far as overall quality it lives up to DuClaw’s great reputation. Near no head, amber color, not really heavy, clean finish, and the spices are definitely tasted after the maltyness sets in.
