Shared with Travlr, on draft. Typical porter aromas - chocolate and coffee. Taste follows the schedule. Typical porter flavors - good, but nothing amazing jumps out at you. A good porter.

Pours a dark dark brown with a light brown head. Smells of caramel, chocolate, and coffee. Taste is pretty delicious. I like the slightly bitter dry finish that this porter has. Mmm

unfortunately this evokes the image of young teen male vampires. That said, I have not seen twilight and my vampire experience its limited to angel, buffy and count chocula. This beer remains good for me. The brown color relaxses me whole the burnt vampire taste entrigues me. How bout that review jerk?

Draft at BWI. Dark brown, small beige head. Aroma of coffee grounds and caramel. Tastes like a dilute Starbucks coffee soda, if there is such a thing.

willblake (2647) - Bel Air, Maryland, USA - JUL 26, 2010
20100726 tap at Bel Air location. Darkest brown, light haze, with lacing, sticky beige head. Aroma is loaded with coffee, burnt bread, mild floral perfumes. Pretty hefty on the palate, but quite dry and after a bit even becoming nicely ashy. Finishes with a long drying bitterness, a bit of dry grass, and retronasally persistent coffee. Nice stuff.

On tap at Bowie location. Pours very dark brown with small tan head. Aromas of roasted malts, chocolate, and some coffee. Flavors of heavily roasted malts, coffee, and lots of bitter chocolate. Finishes really bitter and dry. Not the most drinkable porter, but flavorful none-the-less.
