Location: Nitro at Arundal Mills Brewpub, 5/28/12

Aroma: Has a roasted malt nose, with a good amount of coffee
Appearance: This one has a clear brown pour and a lasting nitro head
Flavor: It has a roasted malt flavor with some dry coffee, it is fairly un-sweet overall
Palate: This one is smooth and creamy, with a nitro feel, and a medium-plus body
Overall Impression: I liked this one. It has a nice porter flavor, and it works well on nitro. It has a good feel to it as well.

I was very excited to taste this beer but ended up being very disappointed. I don’t know if I got a bad batch but when it hit my tounge it tasted good for a split second then turned weak and watery.

Draught: Pours a black color with a tan head. Aroma was light chocolate. Taste was smooth with chocolate and a weak coffee hint to mix it up. Very drinkable with the low alcohol.

Faint hints of coffee on the nose. Pours nearly black with a thin brownish white head that disappears quickly. Getting some chocolate on the tongue but it feels thin. Not making much of an impact for me.

On tap at Duclaw, Bowie on 14 July 2006. Very dark brown - almost black - and nearly opaque. Lots of creamy coffee in the aroma. More of the same on the palate. Some powdery cocoa and burnt malt too. Smooth and mellow. A very decent and enjoyable porter.
