COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This handcrafted brew is our most popular beer. Could it be the mild hop character and smooth drinkability that brings people back? The light color and medium body? The name?

In reading the commercial description, there’s no way this is their most popular beer. In truth, I think this is the worst beer I’ve had from them. Aroma was malty with caramel and not much else. Pour was a nice medium hazy gold with a one finger off white head. Taste was too malty and heavy for a blond ale. Thin and watery in the front with a caramel finish. Not much hops to speak of other than a slight bitterness left in the mouth after the swallow. Decent carbonation. Disappointing

Some straw and a little barley. Crisp finish. Pours golden amber with OK head and lacing. Light bitter finish. Easy drinking. Tap at BWI brewpub.

Bottle. Pours golden with a small white head. Aroma of grains, grass and pale malts. Flavor was grainy with light caramel, grass, yeast and had a touch of citrus.

Bottle pour into a brandy snifter. Pours a clear copper with a white head that dissipates quickly. The aroma has astringent grainy bitterness. Taste is grainy and sweet. Some corny notes in the finish. High carbonation. Light body. Not great.

on tap at Chickie’s & Pete’s at Parx - not bad but also nothing special. A good drinkable session beer (with a good name) but lacking in flavor.

Bottle. Pours out well...go figure, blonde with a small white head. Aroma is of citrus zest, sweet grainy malts, and stale bread. Taste is of old, wet cardboard, straw, mild bitterness, sweet bready malts. Smooth and drinkable, but nothing crazy.

12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Poured light golden small white head and minimal spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of grain and some malts. Taste is slightly bitter, grainy, some sweetness from malts. Perfect every day beer, nothing special but definitely a easy to drink, crisp beer.

   AROMA 7/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 7/10   PALATE 4/5   OVERALL 15/20
Boutip (5185) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 21, 2014
Draft: Poured a golden color ale with a medium size foamy head with OK retention. Aroma of clean cereal notes with light sweet notes. Taste is also a well balanced mix of clean cereal notes with light sweet undertones and a crisp dry finish. Body is about average for style with medium carbonation. This is not a style I usually enjoy but I thought the example here was well brewed with a very high drinkability level.
