This handcrafted brew is our most popular beer. Could it be the mild hop character and smooth drinkability that brings people back? The light color and medium body? The name?

UPDATED: MAY 25, 2014 Simple and crisp, this blonde ale pours from a 12oz. bottle with a lighter foam. Well rounded, yet unremarkable.

On tap at Joes. Pours straw with a white head. Aroma is malty and light. Mild hop bitterness balanced nicely with the malt. Thin mouthfeel.

Boring!! Nothing happening here whatsoever. Good pour, very mild taste, & weak aroma. Not a fan!

Slightly hoppy aftertaste. Smooth and a bit nutty. Nice appearance. Have one then another : )

Grainy and lightly sweet nose and flavor with hops barely evident. Nice enough for a blonde, but pretty pedestrian at the end of the day.

On tap at Redwood. Murky gold body with medium head. Nose is floral, citrus and bread. Taste is tangy, some tart, quite bitter, with bread. Okay. Not well balanced.

Bottle to shaker glass, pours clear golden, one finger off white head. Some lacing with some retention. Aroma of caramel. Taste is moderately sweet, slight bitterness. Light bodied, fizzy carbonation, mouth feel is a little thin. Finishes sweet. Tasting notes of grass, caramel, light citrus and honey. Average.

Bottle at Ernest and Young Tap Room in Wilmington DE. Almost absent aroma of spent grain. The flavor is grainy, corny, lightly sweet malts, grassy hop finish with no character. Generic ale. The latest in a string of average to bad localish beers on this trip.

In reading the commercial description, there’s no way this is their most popular beer. In truth, I think this is the worst beer I’ve had from them. Aroma was malty with caramel and not much else. Pour was a nice medium hazy gold with a one finger off white head. Taste was too malty and heavy for a blond ale. Thin and watery in the front with a caramel finish. Not much hops to speak of other than a slight bitterness left in the mouth after the swallow. Decent carbonation. Disappointing
