COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
One sip of this medium bodied hoppy American brown ale and you will dedicate your soul to its pursuit. Sweet and rich malt flavor with notes of chocolate, caramel and nuts, are balanced by an equally intense hop presence, a citrusy aroma and a 5.5% abv. Blessed be this ale.

Reviewed from notes. Pours a moderate brown color with an off white head. The nose is slight caramel, bread, and a bit of nuttiness. Taste is mostly slight caramel with a bit of toasted bread. Medium body with good carbonation. Drinks quite well and although itís a bit plain, itís definitely a well-made brew. Serving type: on-tap Reviewed on: 11-10-2010

20090707 Tap at Bel Air location. Cola brown with sticky, lacy tan head. Nice American-ish hop prifile with citrus, pine aromas. Medium bodied wtih light eff. Long finish is nicely bitter, sharp with lingering malts for substance. Good stuff on those hot days.

Growler at BCTC 2009. Pours a medium brown with a thinning head. Aroma is nutty, toast, kind of earthy with leather, light nutty chocolate and bittersweet cocoa powder. Flavor is a bit weak- some toffee sweetness, nutty chocolate, earth and a light burnt roast finish- a bit thin.

Aroma: The aroma has some roasted notes and caramel
Appearance: Clearish brown color with an orange ting
Flavor: Taste is roasted, nutty, caramel malts, light hop tang
Palate: The body of this beer is light-medium
Overall Impression: Overall, I remember enjoying my sampling of this beer. It was a pretty solid beer, and deserving of this score. Another nice, solid sampling from my trip to DuClaw.

From growler. Pours a clear light brown body with a reddish tinge and a slightly off-white fizzy head. Nutty, lightly roasty nose with some cocoa powder. The flavor is dry and nutty with a light grainy note, pretty well done for a Brown Ale. Light bitterness on the finish balances things out. Light to medium bodied with light soft carbonation. Overall pretty nice really.

On tap @ DuClaw Fells Point. Clear amber/brown with a light tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, biscuit and citrus hops. Sweet malty base with plenty of hops to add a great bitterness. Medium body with mild carbonation and a long finish. This was great, the abundant hops really make this one shine. Well done.

BCTC. Many thanks to the incredible generosity of the RB crowd. Brown with ring head. Caramel nuts and spice aroma and flavor. Watery palate. Pretty average for a good beer.
