COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Devil’s Milk is an American-style Barley Wine. This beer exhibits a wealth of fruit flavors, from pears to plums to raisins. Devil’s Milk is dry hopped (hops added after fermentation) for a strong bite that balances its big malt backbone. Served in a snifter glass because of the high abv, barley wines are perfect as a relaxing “after-dinner” drink or nitecap.

Clear amber whiskey like pour, thin creamy bubbly off white head and very light sticky lacing. ... Aroma of faded citrusy hops, dark fruits, chewy caramel/toasted malts and boozy .... Mouthfeel is thick, oily and slick ... Taste is bitter and of faded citrusy hops, slightly piney/earthy hops, dark fruits, chewy caramel malts and rich toasted malts ... Quite a bit of warming abv ... Finish is malty with a bitter and warming finish ... Well done def aging a couple of these so the booze flavors can tone down a little

Pours a clear amber/ruby with a medium off white head. Aroma has boozy candied fruits and a slight doughy note. Flavor follows suit and has nice earthy bitterness to balance with the fruit. Mouthfeel is medium/full and the finish is candied fruit/bitter and warming.

Pours amber orange with a thick white head that doesn't dissipate. Aroma of sweet malts, alcohol and citrus. Taste is malty and sweet with an alcohol and citrus bite in the finish. Not bad ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Serving: draft at Fire Works Leesburg. It pours a deep amber color with a lasting light tan head. The nose is muted but has light pine notes. The flavor has bold pine resin, dark honey, stone fruit, and caramel notes. Full bodied with a nice hop presence. Solid brew.

Bottle, beautiful mahogany color. Aroma is hoppier than most barley wines with citrus hop and fruit like grapes and plum. Medium light bitter, medium light sweetness. Medium-heavy body. Creamier texture. Ave carbonation. Warming alcohol. Nice rounded barley wine with grape/plum fruits and citrus hops. Good stuff.

This might be the best smelling beer ever. The hops come billowing out of the bottle upon cracking it open. Red-orange hue with thin white head and lacing. Semi-sweet malt backbone with slight alcohol burn. Fruit flavors of plum/raisins is faint, but there and enjoyable. This is a great beer and now one of my favorites.

Look: Nice shade of blood red, off white lacing. Smell: Floral, citrus hops, candied fruits, roasted malt, mild alcohol. Taste: Roasted barley, sweet fruits, cocoa, floral/earthy hops, semi dry bitter finish. Feel: Medium soft body, lively carbonation. Overall: This is one of my favorite Duclaw Seasonals. I wish it were year round. 10.6 abv that isn’t present at all. The hop bite on it is very pleasant and helps round out the overall sweetness of the brew. This is Recommended.

UPDATED: JUN 1, 2014 12oz bottle poured into snifter glass. Hazy dark amber color with light tan head. Aroma of crazy sweet malt (candy sugared fruits, toffee caramel) with hints of booze. Taste is very sweet piling on toffee, fruit, malt and a hint of vanilla. Heavy body and smooth carbonation. Very nice.

Bottle... Poured dark amberish orange with a mild, off-white head. Big malt bomb with alcohol notes, dark fruits, and burnt sugars. Nice sipper. Sticky mouthfeel, but just under the cloyingly sweet level (which was a saving grace for sure). Sugar toffee, toasted sweetness, and vanilla.
