COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Devil’s Milk is an American-style Barley Wine. This beer exhibits a wealth of fruit flavors, from pears to plums to raisins. Devil’s Milk is dry hopped (hops added after fermentation) for a strong bite that balances its big malt backbone. Served in a snifter glass because of the high abv, barley wines are perfect as a relaxing “after-dinner” drink or nitecap.

Bottle, shared by Papsoe. It pours a beautiful, clear, dark amber to copper body under a small, dense, beige head. The aroma is quite nice, a rich caramel maltyness, some beef stock and pine cones as well as a touch of alcohol. The flavor is quite sweet, with a nice bitterness, a hint of anise, a good dash of dried fruits and warming alcohol. Full-bodied and warming, finishing sweet, with a nice bitterness and dried fruits. A really nice barley wine, that’s for sure. 110416

Bomber from Pours coppery with a small beige head. Aroma seems citrus. Full bodied with light carbonation. Quite malty but there is hop present. Ends more sweet than not, but there’s some definite bitter keeping up the good fight. Strong fight!

Bottled. Amber coloured. Hazy. Huge dense beige head. Sweetness, prunes, herbs and some flowers in the aroma. Has a touch of alcohol. Flavour is sweet and fruity. Again a nice touch of herbs and flowers. A bit citric. Medium to full bodied. Nice grapy bitterness in the end. Thx. Theis for sharing.
