COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A category five hurricane of roasted malt precariously balanced by a supercell of American hops, this double American black ale is an unstoppable force of flavor. Tear the top off and hold on tight; Nothing’s more intense than when...Lightning Strikes Twice

Bottle... Clear, midnight black pour with crimson flashes and a small, creamy, off-white head. The aroma is a simple intermingling of chocolate and toasted nuts. Full-bodied and silky with gentle carbonation. The flavor mainly consists of caramel malts accompanied by just enough lupulin to balance things out. Finishes malty with subdued, tannic bitterness.

Bottle shared at thirdeye11’s birthday party. Dark brown to black pour. I get a ton of chocolate in both the flavor and aroma. I also get some nice roasted malt, as well as some nice pine from the hops. A very nice Black IPA.

(22oz bottle) cloudy deep brown, wispy tan bubbles that are creamy. Nose is so rich, milk chocolate, honey, chocolate cake, very complex. Taste of milk chocolate, lightly hoppy, dark chocolate, very easy drinker, excellent and nothing wrong with this one. One of my favorite black IPAs ever.

Bottle.Pours deep brown with little head that fades to thin, bubbly halo. Aroma is chocolate. Taste is an unbalanced mix of super roasty chocolate and assertive hops bitterness. The flavors eventually meld with the long-lasting aftertaste. The one great thing going for this is how drinkable it is.

Pours black with a tan head. The aroma is all roast malt. The flavor has the malt and a bit of chocolate. The hops come through at the end of the swallow. Nicely dry.

Bomber. Pours black with little head. Flavor is a lot of malts with some bitterness. Not hop forward at all. Pretty average beer.

Dark, dark brown with a thin pale head. Aroma was piney with some fruitiness. Flavor was full and rich with coffee roastiness, molasses, a bit of sweetness and a lot of hoppyness. I’m not sure it’s a Black IPA, but I liked it alot.

Bottle. Very dark brown color, small tan edge head. Aroma of slightly boozy but creamy chocolate and a bit of pine. Taste is smooth pince, cocoa, dark coffee.
