COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With double the rich dark chocolate and raspberry aroma and flavors of our Naked Fish stout, and an exquisitely dry, chocolatey finish from the addition of chocolate during conditioning, it’s easy to become obsessed with catching this unique, monstrously flavorful stout, but be warned... you may need a bigger glass.

UPDATED: JUN 23, 2012 I liked this one better than the regular naked fish. The raspberry didn’t come off as quite so ’fake’ this time. Nice brown pour with fair tan head. Good chocolate and raspberry aromas and flavors. Not overly sweet which is always a good thing. Smooth, almost silky on the tongue. Very tasty indeed! Just had this paired with some chocolate peanut butter ice cream. It was one of the best pairings I had in my whole life. the peanut butter absolutely PERFECTLY complimented and highlighted the wonderful raspberry and rich chocolate in this beer

Bottle… Pours black with a small, creamy, beige head. The bouquet offers a decadent swirl of milk chocolate, espresso, black cherry and raspberry jam. Full-bodied with a skim-milk mouthfeel and tickling carbonation. The flavor is roasty, burnt and fruity – raspberry, dark chocolate and a splash of espresso. Finishes warming and chocolaty.

Black with a tan head, little retention, little head... Aroma is of chocolate raspberry some light roastiness, but the raspberry is quite notable... Very fruity flavor chocolate and raspberry dominate fully though the beer is not very sweet... Fairly lively medium to full bodied... Interesting, definitely a place in the dessert world for beers like this...

Pours dark brown with a thin mocha head. Aroma has dark chocolate and raspberry...like the candies with the fruit jelly inside. Flavor follows suit but less sweet...some burnt roasty notes too...notable raspberry. Mouthfeel is medium and the finish is bitter/burnt dark chocolate.

Bottle. Black with a short, foamy tan head. Aroma is very chocolatey with lots of berry notes, but I can’t necessarily discern raspberry. Plus there is plenty of roasted malt and flavored coffee. Taste bring chocolate covered raspberries, tart berries, roasted malt and coffee notes. Body is medium with a soft, creamy carbonation. Finishes with more raspberries, dark chocolate, roasted malt and coffee. Tasty!

22 oz bottle. Dark brown with a fluffy tan head. Nose is chocolate, raspberry, hay and caramel. Medium body with a fruity tang and a tingle. Taste is coffee bean, raspberry sherbet, dark chocolate and burnt sugar. Not overly sweet; a nice step up from the regular version.

Poured a very dark brown, almost black. Aroma has a lot of raspberries with some chocolate. Alcohol is slightly noticeable. Taste is very smooth with lots of raspberries. Not as sweet as I expected; there are some burnt roasted flavors as well. Slightly nutty with a touch of butterscotch. Finishes with a decent hop bitterness and some fruity esters. Overall it’s ok, but I still like it more than the original.

Tap at Max’s. Pours black with a small, fizzy light tan head, short retention with light lacing. Aroma is dark chocolate, roast and coffee malt, prunes, dates and light fruity hops. Flavor is rich dark chocolate, light roast and coffee notes, dates, oak, light bitterness that seems like it would be heavier if the thick and chewey malt were less. Finish is lightly sweet then dry. Full body, low warmth and carbonation.
