Bottle to shaker glass, pours clear reddish-brown. Two finger almost white pillowy head some lacing and retention. Aroma of coffee and hazelnuts. Taste is somewhat sweet with just a touch of bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, creamy mouth feel. Finishes sweet. Tasting notes of caramel, hazelnuts, faint chocolate, toasted malt and grass. It’s a pretty decent brown ale.

A sweet, chocolate aroma . The color is dark brown, nearly opaque with white head. The taste is, well, like tootsie roll. A nice sweet mellow aftertaste. A good brown ale.

A nice take on a brown ale. Color is a little darker than most brown ales. The taste is quite creamy and the finish is nice and sweet.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
bottled - toffee, brown ale. Taste is a bit artificial. Not terrible, but not as good as the other Duclaw brews that I’ve had (like Sweet Baby Jesus!)
