Toasty, nutty, and chocolatey aromas. Light brown with a faint, khaki head. Lightly sweet, flavors of caramel and milk chocolate are dominant, with some earthy hops for balance. Medium body, low carbonation, very smooth, and finishes with flavors of toasted almond and chocolate.

On tap at the Arundel Mills location in the mall. Strong malty aroma. Poured a clear brown color with a really thin top. Nutty taste, caramel malts, and toffee. Medium body, highly carbonated. Overall: malt heaven!

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours light brown with a light head. Light aroma with toffee and cinnamon. Taste of caramel, bread and a little fruit. Palate is okay, a little light in my opinion.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz bottle: Pours nut brown/bergundy. Aroma of nuts, caramel malts and sour yeast. Taste is strong caramel malt, some nut and wild or belgian style yeast. Slightly bitter and astringent on the tongue. Pretty good, but nothing special.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Serving: 12 oz. bottle from Wegmans Leesburg. It pours a hazy, ruddy color with a large and active light tan head. The nose smells of toasted almonds and varnish. The flavor is rather bitter up front with light toffee and stale nut notes. Chalky and a little thin on the palate. Lingering dry finish. On the lesser end of brown ales in my book.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: MAR 30, 2014 Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured an orange-caramel color with an enormous foamy orange-tan head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was sweet toffee, berries and bread. The flavor was dryish and nutty with faint notes of caramel, toffee, wood and smoke. Medium finish and very overcarbonated. Ok.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours brown with a medium off white head which quickly settled to a film. Aroma is caramel, vanilla and some roast undertones. Taste is sweet with some tartness. Medium bodied with a creamy texture. Very drinkable, the tartness makes this brown interesting plus its very sessionable.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Devils Den. Pour was dark brown with creamy head. A really nice english tasting brown ale, notes of wood, brown ale malt, caramel, roasted malt and nuts, so drinkable and perfectly balanced. As it warmed I was getting a good bit of vanilla, little bit of cinnamon, and some hazelnut. Medium bodied, and sessionable as shit.
