Bottle. A candy brew that smells and tastes delightful, though itís borderline cloying, and leaves the mouth feeling quite sticky. The maple, brown sugar, and nut (cashew?) notes play well together. For a sweet brown, itís really enjoyable.

12oz bottle, thanks to my parents for picking this up. Good toffee / hazelnut aroma. Light nuttiness. Nice sweet taste, in a good way. Good sweet toffee hazelnut aftertaste. Good crisp lighter carbonation, medium body. Clear light brown / amber color, nearly no head. Interesting, but merely OK brown

Poured this beer from a regular bottle into a trumpet glass to drink. The beer had a light brown-dark copper color with an average, foamy tan head that had average retention and cling, but good lacing. It had a malty nut and caramel aroma with some earthy tones, a bit of sugar, and light toffee. The taste was a malty caramel and nut blend along with a slight grainy earth effect. The body was fairly thin and airy, and was somewhat dry, with low to average carbonation.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a dark brown nut caramel color. Smells of nut, toffee, vanilla, caramel, and butter. Taste is a strong caramel with hints of coffee, hops, nut, and vanilla. Nice.

UPDATED: NOV 9, 2012 Did not like this bee very much. Did not get the toffee as advertised. It wasnít creamy either, more bubbly with a weird ting in the throat. Also, wasnít very brown, more amber.

Too much toffee character. If youíre a fan of flavored coffees then this might appeal to you.

12 ounce bottle from Once Upon a Vine. Pours a clear reddish amber color with a thin creamy tan head. Fair head retention. Aroma of brown malts, grain, chocolate and caramel. The taste is toffee, brown malts, faint hops. Medium bodied. Solid beer. 5400th rating!

UPDATED: JUL 21, 2012 Dog brown with a bit of white head. Aroma is about what youíd expect with the nutty roast, and then thereís a well blended espresso over top of that. Tastes as it smells, though perhaps a lighter touch in flavor and viscosity. Toffee notes into the finish. $2/12oz

Iím sorry but this is the best beer Iíve ever had. The flavors blend so well. Iím not a hop fan, hate ipas. This beer is "LIQUID GOLD". I wish I didnít have to to MD to get it.

Bottle shared by a friend. Pours clear copper with a medium beige head. Malty aroma with notes of toffee, nuts and earthy hops. Malty flavor with caramel and huge toffee character before an earthy finish. Pretty tasty.
