UPDATED: MAY 29, 2012
Location: Draft at Arundal Mills Brewpub, 5/28/12

Aroma: Sweet caramel/toffee and chocolate, plus lots of nuts on the nose
Appearance: It pours a clear light brown-amber color, small off-white head, and light lace
Flavor: The taste is much like the nose, sweet and nutty from the malts
Palate: This brew is medium bodied, it has a pretty nice feel, and drinks easily as well
Overall Impression: I found this one to be a very solid, sweet and nutty brown. The components are on target for the style, and that style is well done. It has a strong flavor profile.

Bottle. Dark mahogany with a short, foamy tan head. Aroma is very nutty with vast amounts of toffee, cocoa, caramel and sweet malt. Taste is very much toffee and nuts with caramel, cocoa notes, soft hops and sweet malt. Rather tasty! Body is medium with a soft, bubbly carbonation. Finishes with more toffee, cocoa, chocolate covered nuts and soft hops.

Picked me up a growler of this yesterday and figured I would give a rating. The aroma is really nice. Smells like toffee and maple. Appearance is a nice dark brown with a tinge of red. The taste is a good mix of the aroma with a bit of malt and kind of sweet. Feels nice and smooth on your tongue and goes down very easy. Overall I enjoyed it very much.

Bottle. Pours a nutty brown caramel with a small beige head. Nose is lightly nutty, toffee, caramel. Palate is full, light syrup texture with a slighty bite in the finish. Flavors of nuts, molasses, toffee, caramel.

The pour is a clear reddish brown with a thin creme head. The scent is mild but fresh, with definite notes of toffee. The taste is caramel with a semi-dry toffee after-note. Subtle lacing on the glass. A mild but very drinkable ale. My favorite DuClaw offering. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft. Pours deep, clear amber with and small, fizzy off-white head; decent retention and lacing. Aroma is toffee, caramel malt, and toasted pine nuts. Flavor is more subtle than expected; toffee/caramel malt heavy with very faint earthy hop undertones. Light body, medium carbonation, and low warmth.

Draft: Poured a red brown with off white colored head. Aroma was light malt. The taste is malty up front with a grassy hops back. Didn’t really get this beer really.

Not horrible but I’m not a big fan of super sweet beers. Tastes just like it says, lots of toffee. It could also stand to be a little "thicker" and more robust.
